Do I really need a title here?

So here it is one day before I turn 27! I don't feel it nor do I think I look it, except for that grey streak in front. No big plans. Dara got me the 'Back to the Future' Trilogy on DVD- one of my all time favs (but she hates anthig 80s) I have Monday and Tuesday of next week off. Don't know what I'll do with all that time but as long as I'm not at work I don't mind. Here's a pic of my lil girl...and yes 100% attitude comes with that beautiful face.

Another Air Force Day...

Let me tell you a little something about the military...we're not a 'well oiled machine' like everyone may believe. In fact at times I feel we are more disorganized because of all our rules and regs. Anyway we had a recall this morning. Basically you get a call early in the morning telling you to get your butt to base as quick as you can. Well here's the thing, they usually do this after some of us are already on our way to base or there working out and we don't know about it. So when we do get to our 'shop' we're confused as to why we're getting people coming in with deployment bags and such. The some people weren't called until late, others took their time when they only live ten minutes away etc. The funny thing is I'm part of a communications squadron and our internal communication between our various flights (or sectors if you want to say that) is at times just plain horrible. Anyway a little less than 3 years left is all I'm saying.

On a side note for those of you who don't know my brother Dave, between him and I we could make up an entire crazy ward. Think Brad Pitt in Twelve Monkeys, sane but not really. I love him though he's good at making me laugh out loud. He's also my 'in' for Hollywood (wink wink bro) Well hoping more word gets out about my blog and more people read and make comments.

Valentine's was GOOOD!

So after being afflicted with the disease of not caring for pointless commercial holidays (ie: Valentine's, St Paddy's Day, etc) I finally impressed the wife with a very thoughtful Valentine's Day. First off I made her believe I still had to go into work (i actually took the day off), so I took our daughter to the sitter as per normal. From there on out I ran my errands and cleaned up the house. To keep things 'real' I put on my uniform and dropped off lunch at my wife's work. Back home I was preparing dessert. I made chocolate Cheescake from scratch thank you very much. No Easy Bake Jell-o recipe. Well to make a long story short, I had made a Chicken Caesar dinner (not a salad though), Honey-Almond Croisannts, and the cheesecake. I had the table all done up with roses, chocolates, and heart decor. When she walked in from her long day at work she was so impressed, I even dressed up nice. She started to cry because she said to her co-workers that she wasn't expecting anything from me since I am so bad at holidays and birthdays (hey when you don't have the money you can't do much and inspiration for me doesn't come cheap). So it was a good night So guys any problems with the ladies? Ask me I'll try and help you out.
